Door Supervisor Top up

The Door Supervisor Top Up Training offers a valuable opportunity for individuals seeking to renew their old Door Supervisor license from October 2022 onwards. To be eligible, trainees must meet the SIA licensing requirements without any restrictions from a specific regulatory authority. It is advisable to also undergo location-specific training. After successfully renewing your license, you can expect a revised average salary.

Unit 1: Physical Intervention Skills within the Private Security Industry
Unit 2: Safety Awareness Unit for Door Supervisors

Unit 1 - Physical Intervention Skills within the Private Security Industry

·        Understand physical interventions and the implications of their use.

·        Understand how to reduce the risk of harm when physical intervention skills are used.

·        Be able to use non-aggressive physical skills to protect yourself and others.

·        Be able to use non-pain-related standing, holding, and escorting techniques, including non-restrictive and restrictive skills.

·        Understand good practice to follow physical interventions.

Unit 2 - Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors within the Private Security Industry

·        Understand counter-terrorism issues relevant to a door supervisor.

·        Know the role of a door supervisor when first aid situations occur on licensed premises.

·        Know legislation and requirements regarding children and young people relevant to a door supervisor.

·        Understand how a door supervisor can help to keep vulnerable people safe.

·        Understand queue management and venue capacity responsibilities relevant to a door supervisor.

Opportunity

CCTV Training

The CCTV Training Course is specifically tailored for public space surveillance and serves as the primary training program in this field. The CCTV training course is divided mainly into three units:

  • Unit 1: The standards and knowledge of working in the Private Security Industry
  • Unit 2: The basics of working as a CCTV operator
  • Unit 3: Practical sessions of operating the CCTV equipment within the control room

Security Guarding

Unit 2: Principles of Minimising Personal Risks for Security Officers in The Private Security Industry

  • Know how to minimise risk to personal safety at work.
  • Identify responsibilities for personal safety at work.
  • Identify situations that might compromise personal safety.
  • Identify the risks of ignoring personal safety in conflict situations
  • State the personal safety benefits of undertaking dynamic risk assessments.
  • List ways to minimise risk to personal safety at work.
  • Recognise the different types of personal protective equipment relevant to the role of a security officer
  • State the purpose of using body-worn cameras (BWC)
  • Identify strategies that can assist personal safety in conflict situations.
